Accidents happen when you least expect them at home or on the road. You must be prepared at all times. You can buy a First Aid Kit at your nearest drug store or put one together yourself. Whether you keep it in the medicine cabinet or in the kitchen, heres a list of must have items. Its important that you keep them handy by order of need: Extremely Handy, Very Handy and just Handy.

Aches and pains pills, tabs or gelcaps - acetominophen (like Tylenol)
Antibiotic cream or ointment (like Polysporin)
Anti-itch cream (like hydrocortisone)
Adhesive bandages, assorted sizes (like Band-Aidฎ Brand)
Burn-relief gels or sprays (like aloe with lidocaine)
Cough medicine dextromethorphan and guaifenesin (like Robitussin DM)

Vaseline (for rectal thermometer)
Blanket (keep handy)
Cold pack (a chemical pack that becomes cold when activated and can be useful to reduce swelling)

Aspirin (to use in the even of a heart attack)
